Chicken Manure

Our chicken manure comes from local chicken sheds. It makes a great fertiliser, with a concentrated amount of nitrogen and protein.

In correct amounts, it can improve your soil. Chicken manure is ideal for vegetable gardens where you may need to put nutrients back into the soil to ensure good yield.

However, it’s important to use chicken manure sparingly as it can make the nitrogen levels in your garden too high.

You can look for signs in your existing plants that nitrogen may be low. For example, pale green or yellow leaves (insufficient chlorophyll production due to a lack of nitrogen), slow or stunted plant growth, or lower than normal crop yields.

For a more conclusive result, you can test your soil in a lab before buying and spreading chicken manure.
