Hardwood chip is a practical, long lasting mulch that’s suited for a range of applications. It’s considered a decorative bark with a light colour (that lightens over time) and relatively consistent appearance.
In the garden, hardwood chip will help keep moisture in the ground for longer, reducing the need for watering. And it’ll make it difficult for weeds to germinate.
It’s slow decomposition process means that most gardens will only need minor top ups.
